FAR HILLS,Jimmy Choo Outlet, N.J., Aug. 7 () -- The United States Golf Association announced Wednesday its national events, including the U.S. Open, will be televised by Fox Sports beginning in 2015.The Fox Network will launch Fox Sports 1 on Aug 17 and the deal with the USGA is part of a planned expansion into the world of athletics. It will be a 12-year partnership that will run through the first quarter of the century."This is an exciting and remarkable day for the USGA, as our partnership with Fox Sports is a game-changer for our organization and for the game of golf," USGA President Glen D. Nager said."The game is evolving and requires bold and unique approaches on many levels, and Fox shares our vision to seek fresh thinking and innovative ideas to deliver championship golf. This partnership will help us to better lead and serve the game in new and exciting ways."The contract calls for 146 hours of USGA championships to be televised,Gucci Pas Cher, including 70 hours of live coverage per year of the U.S. Open, U.S. Women's Open and U.S. Senior Open.USGA tournaments have been shown on NBC since 1995. The last of those will come next year at Pinehurst, N.C.The deal with the USGA comes 19 years after Fox agreed to pay $395 million a season to televise the NFC portion of the NFL schedule in a contract that led to a windfall for pro football. In the last 20 years the yearly television income for the NFL has grown from $900 million to $4.95 billion.
