Schroeder's third-period goal lifts Vancouver over Phoenix 2-1
GLENDALE, Ariz., March 22 () -- Jordan Schroeder scored the winning goal midway through the third period Thursday and Cory Schneider made 33 saves in Vancouver's 2-1 win over Phoenix.The Coyotes lost their fifth in a row and the Canucks moved into a share of the lead with Minnesota in the Northwest Division.Schroeder snapped a 1-1 tie by putting a wrist shot past replacement goaltender Jason LaBarbera. The goal came with 10:07 to play.Mike Smith started in goal for Phoenix, but was shaken up late in the second period in a collision with Vancouver's Alexander Edler.
