Good Eats Roast Turkey Recipe,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
OH-MY-GOSH! My first attempt at making a Turkey and my Thanksgiving 2004 was a hit! I never seen breast meat this juicey. Although, the best tip I can give you would be to get the meat thermometer he shoes on tv. I bought the Pyrex for about 20 dollars at Bed, Bath,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Beyond. Best money I ever spent. I would have over cooked it had it not been for that handy device. I had an almost 14lb bird and it took one and a half hours to cook going by the temp of the breast. And the bucket, maybe $2.50 at Walmart! Used it later to take the hot sides to Grandma Great recipe Alton,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], thanks.
I usually make Thanksgiving dinner every year,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and every year,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I get more and more people. Well this year,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I had so many people over my house that I had to make two turkeys,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I made a 28 pound and a 22 pound. I used this recipe,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and I couldn believe the results. Because I had so many people over,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I set up my kitchen buffet style,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and even after carving the turkeys,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and putting them in the tray on the buffet table, the meat was still so tender and juicy that everyone raved about it! I was able to make perfect gravy with the drippings too. I also made the dressing with chicken broth the night before,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and put it in baking dishes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], then covered them and baked them for 30 minutes while I carved the turkeys. This DEFINATELY made my job easier, and I was so nervous with having so many people over,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that if this didn turn out right,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I would have been so embarassed. I should have never doubted Alton Brown!!
